Why build the shop at all
The obvious route for a self-published book is to list it on a marketplace and let the marketplace keep the relationship. Selling directly meant owning the whole chain — listing, payment, packing, dispatch, and the returns nobody warns you about.
It was the right call. Most orders came through our own portals rather than the marketplaces, and the delivery failure rate across every state in India stayed under 1%.
What it runs
A storefront for the books, integrated with ShipRocket so 50 to 100 shipments a day could go out without leaving the desk. Alongside it, swamivivekananda.guru hosts a quotations archive.
