Bhasaka
A mantra and bhajan app that works entirely offline and collects nothing at all — no accounts, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, no push notifications, no third-party services of any kind.
The idea
Devotional apps are, as a category, unusually greedy. A person reaching for a mantra at five in the morning should not be handing over a device identifier to an ad network in exchange.
Bhasaka is the opposite of that. It gives access to spiritual and cultural content — mantras and bhajans — and it takes nothing back.
What “collects nothing” actually means
Not a privacy policy that says the right words while an SDK phones home. The app genuinely has nowhere to send data to:
- No personal data is collected, stored, or processed — no name, email, phone, location, or device identifier
- Content is stored locally on the device so it works offline
- Preferences, including favourite bhajans, never leave the device
- No third-party services: no analytics, no ad networks, no social SDKs
- No push notifications, so the permission is never even requested
The privacy policy is short, because there is very little to disclose.
